THE HISTORY OF SUHAR KORUA
Past, present and future
SUHAR is a male choir that began its activity in autumn 2018, bringing together some thirty voices experienced in choral singing, with the aim of working on the repertoire for this type of formation at the highest level.
Suhar wants to be that link that unites us with our choral past and leads us to a future where male voices have their place. Just as our chefs had to reinvent themselves a few decades ago to reach the new Basque cuisine, Suhar aims to reinvent the concept of the male voice choir, maintaining a solid link with our past, but offering a new and quality product.
MISSION, VISION AND VALUES
Our MISSION is to work and disseminate choral music for male voices nationally and internationally, thus serving the cultural growth and strengthening of our country. We want to contribute to the propagation of musical culture and the transmission of intercultural values, spreading the artistic values linked to music, to bring them closer to all audiences.
Our VISION is to be a reference choral group in our modality, recognised for its artistic excellence and its projects of great musical quality. The Suhar project will seek collaborations and synergies with composers and other members of the artistic community, in order to enjoy choral singing and make them enjoy it.
Among the VALUES of Suhar we must highlight the quality of its artistic proposals, the dissemination of the work of our composers, based on the commitment to our choral music, and the effort to innovate and be creative in our work.
